What’s that stone worth, that rock?
people stumble on it,
builders don’t want it:
Can’t work its shape
the way they want it;
a reject.
Would you take, shall we say,
thirty pieces of silver?
Now He’s enthroned, The Cornerstone,
the One the builders rejected,
King of Kings, Lord of Lords,
served by awed angels,
hymned by multitudes,
reverenced, adored !
Called out of darkness,
born into light,
what is your verdict, you who believe?
Precious? Precious !
