There Came A Knock

There came a knock
on my heart’s door.
Snug I was, content within,
cocooned in Self.
He didn’t heed it, bless Him -
the ‘Strictly Private’ plaque !
Again He knocked,
gave me the grace to lift the latch.
Then He and I dined together,
just as He promised !
Oh, blessed day !
Blessed Saviour !
