you do not understand now, but you will know hereafter’." Jn.13:7

Why, Lord?

It’s true, Lord, what You say:
I don’t understand
what You are doing now,
but Lord it hurts.
And no, not querying You,
know You too long for that.
Suppose I marvel, just,
why Christians nail their brothers
to latter-day crosses
in Your full view.
But Jesus, since You say so,
I’m content
to understand hereafter
and, meanwhile,
take the hand of One
who knows it all and loves me.
