Father’s Heart

Since first I knew Your holiness
I’ve known my littleness,
wondered how You could love:
wondered why You haven’t tired
of ‘two-steps-forward-one-back’ me.
These days, when I feel daunted,
know I’ve failed in some respect
and sense again my smallness,
I fall to thanking You.
For the One who crafted me,
knows all my frailty
and loves me just the same !
