Each of you has his party-cry, “I follow Paul” or “ I follow Apollos” or “I follow Cephas” and “I follow Christ”……. 1 Corinthians 1:12.
Paul: Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you. He was quite unwilling….he will come when he has a convenient time. 1 Corinthians 16:12.

Divisions

So Spirit-led, Apollos said
“Not now, Paul,
for those Corinthians, cliqued,
have favourite preachers:
let them wait: they’ll realise
that you, Cephas, I,
are servants, just, and then
re-focus, quite, on Jesus !”

Lord, save your church
from passing fads;
grace godly wisdom
on those who lead:
have all remember
“…one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
one God and father of us all…”
