Promise Keeper

"Promise-Keeper",
That’s what they called Him then.
Came straight out with it, they did;
publicly declared
the incontrovertible:
Will you do less, my soul?
those ‘coincidences’,
those things that ‘nick-of-time’
changed for you
and left you praising, gaping: Remember?
Is it not time
you took a stone and set it up,
a landmark in your life,
a tribute to your never-changing,
always-faithful
Promise-Keeper?
