A Special Name

You have so many names, Father,
each one a message,
intimation of who You are
to my needy heart; a window
through which I’ve often peered, adoring,
seeking to know You better.
But You’ve a name I treasure, love You for,
a name I lean on,
sometimes quietly, in grateful trust,
sometimes in desperation,
oh, thank You for it -
‘The God-Who-Hears’ !
