On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side”. Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat…. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was filling. Mark 4:36-37.

Your Inner Circle

One boat bore Your Son,
who, pitying, calmed the storm:
preserved His wondering ‘inner circle’

A shared benefit, sure,
for those other little boats;
Same lake. Same storm.
Must have preserved them, too.
An afterthought, that ?
Not so, I think.
Those not of the ‘inner circle’
delivered too ! By grace !

Master, all too many ‘little boats’
afloat on life’s vast ocean
need Your deliverance.
Before You call me Home, I beg,
privilege me to see You
in Holy Spirit flood
calm their storms, too !
