You Stooped

You stooped and fed me,
gave me an appetite
for the Bread of Heaven.
I hadn’t known
the One who healed me,
removed the cruel yoke
of one too strong for me,
drew me with cords of love.
No fading, passing thing,
eternal love
Your gift to me –
I found
grace in the wilderness !
