"Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with
His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore
let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing
His reproach. For here we have no continuing city,
but we seek the one to come." Heb.13:12-14

Outside The Camp

Outside the camp,
the place for outcasts,
there He bled, incredibly, for me.
Love answers love, so naturally
I’m out there too, by choice,
prepared to share in His reproach,
not that I’m sure of what comes next.
But grace abounding ! He’s sent His Spirit
to guide this needy pilgrim,
because He knows
that I’m just passing through,
seeking the City
that He has built !
