How odd that I, who many times
have read this word
yet cared so long for man’s approval !
Why was I so slow to take your view
my brother Paul ?
Did you learn this, alone with God
those three long years ?
And better serve on that account ?

O, Father, grace me
to be a readier learner
latch on, first time
that I might better serve.
